We are nurses, photographers, missionaries, blondes, brunettes, tall, short, extroverts, introverts, runners, rollerbladers, horse lovers and die hard coffee consumers.
This is us.
What do you mean I have to call and set up a coffee date? What happened to just walking into your room down the hall? Why can't we keep talking through the thread bare walls while lying in our own beds?
Fortunately, shortly after I got married we discovered that by God's goodness we all had tuesday mornings off.
And so it continues, four kindred spirits gathering over the liquid gold that is coffee and pouring out our hearts.
In the past 8 months alone we've read through the book of Esther, cried over the loss of loved ones, encouraged each other, screamed in delight over a new pregnancy, shared our deepest fears, challenged each other to meet with God before facebook and laughed, we've laughed a lot.
This past October we took a little retreat to Door County, WI like the old ladies we are at heart. Sadly, Cassie could not come because she was needed at the funeral of her dear friend. I don't doubt that there will be many more road trips in our future though.
She sleeps ON TOP of the covers. Always has.
